Attendance

Regular attendance is essential for student progress and to ensure the full benefits of music education. Students are expected to arrive on time for their scheduled lessons. Although we attempt to keep the student/teacher pairing consistent over time, realistically this is not always possible. When it can’t be avoided there may be teacher changes throughout the course of the year, especially during semester or student/teacher schedule changes.


Make-up Credits

To cancel a single lesson simply go to your appointment in Opus1 and self-cancel. Your teacher will be immediately notified. No need to call the office.

Once every 30 days you can self-cancel a lesson for a makeup credit, which you can then use to self-book a makeup. You can carry up to 2 self-canceled service credits. Credits have no monetary value.

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson may receive a makeup credit, valid for 60 days from the original lesson date. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson, as well as missed lessons, are not eligible for a credit. Credits issued due to teacher or studio cancellations do not expire.


Cancellation Policy

To cancel your ongoing lessons, please fill out the lesson cancellation request form by the 15th of the month PRIOR to cancellation.

This allows us enough time to adjust schedules and offer the lesson time to other students.

  • If notice is received after the 15th, the following month’s tuition will still be processed, as your lesson time has already been reserved. Tuition is non-refundable once billed.

  • Cancellation notice must be submitted via the lesson cancellation request form ONLY.

  • Verbal notice, text messages, emails or notifying a teacher does not constitute valid cancellation
