““Our instructors are carefully screened, professionally trained and highly skilled. Their personality and character are as important to me as their musical expertise. I’m very picky when it comes to selecting instructors.””

Founder, MusicLessons1on1
Master Guitar Certification, Berklee
TAMU Class ‘96
I founded MusicLessons1on1 out of a desire to do something meaningful and significant. I have found that by impacting and encouraging and inspiring new musicians, I was coaching people that would go on to impact and encourage and create even more musicians, who would then, in turn, do the same for others. This process continues into infinity, ultimately impacting people over and over again the course of several lifetimes. I think ALL teachers have this legacy, and I am gratefully for this opportunity and for the success we have shared with thousands of students over the past 2 decades here at MusicLessons1on1.

I'm also a member of the TAMU Chamber Orchestra and enjoy playing everything from classical to pop and jazz. Alongside my passion for music, I'm pursuing a career in medicine, where I hope to bridge healing and the arts. “My daughter is very young, and other teachers would not even consider teaching her.
Her teacher was not afraid and gives 100% even though it’s not always easy. Even at 3 my daughter now pays attention to rhythm at home.
Excellent teacher, excellent school.”

I’ve had the privilege of playing with hundreds of artists playing primarily Country, Rock, and Blues. I’m also a multi instrumentalist and proficient at teaching nearly every steel string instrument you can think of. My approach to teaching music is in giving you the tools to learn songs as efficiently as possible. My teaching philosophy is based on my experience having learned thousands of songs, including performing songs I've never heard on the spot! If you're interested in how music works on a fundamental level, from improv to song structure, from melody to harmony, and instrumental arrangements based on the needs of a live player, hopefully I can help steer you in the right direction! Looking forward to helping you grow toward your musical goals!

Alejandra M.
Howdy! I’m Alejandra, a student at Texas A&M studying Electronic Systems Engineering Technology! I have been playing the piano for the past 16 years, and throughout that time I’ve played contemporary, traditional music at church, pop songs in a band and everything in between. I grew up in a family of musicians that encouraged me to keep learning, this led to learning acoustic guitar in high school. I’ve also played electric guitar for several years in different bands. My love for music started when I was young and has inspired me to learn several instruments throughout my life, this is in large part because of the amazing teachers I’ve had growing up. My goal is to instill the same love for music in my students!

Rob W.
To Rob White, music might as well be water. Having begun his musical journey enjoying musicals, 90’s Country, and Classic Rock with his parents, Rob began to exercise his love for music in a variety of different ways. Having started out in church choir, Rob quickly began expanding his musical reach, first with saxophone in band before becoming an All-State tenor in choir his senior year of high school in New Mexico. Rob began working on playing bass for his church praise team, and fell in love with the sound and role of the instrument. Rob attended Texas A&M University, Graduating with a degree in Sport Management, but not before spending all 4 years performing with the Singing Cadets. Performances were as far reaching as China and attendees included many former presidents, as well as performing for the memorial service for Chris Kyle at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Most recently, Rob has focused his efforts in performing professionally in touring bands, currently serving as the bass player and harmony vocals for Texas Country/Red Dirt artist Carson Jeffrey. Rob’s influences are wide and varied, from musicals such as Phantom of the Opera and Cats, to bands such as Metallica, Alice in Chains, Breaking Benjamin, Keith Whitley, Garth Brooks, William Clark Green, and so many others. ““Music does not discriminate against age or one’s own perception of musical ability. You’re never too old or young to learn an instrument or sing. EVERYONE has musical potential, many simply need a good teacher to help them connect with this potential.””
Melanie G..
While I have my techy side, I love to bring stories to life through song. I started singing with my school’s choir growing up, in musical theatre… and in the car with my mom’s Whitney Houston CD.

Brennan C.
Hello! My name is Brennan Collier and I attend Texas A&M University! I am a drummer in a band out of College Station, The Highway 6 Band. I have always had an extreme passion for drumming! I used to sneak on stage as a kid and stand right next to the drummer at any live events, church, and even on a cruise while they had live music. My mom used to get so mad but all the drummers used to let me stay up there and even play. From then on I knew I wanted to be on a stage! I absolutely love it and hope to share my passion with others! I hope to teach and pass along my knowledge and my goal is to make better musicians than I am!
